  1. How to correctly place an order:

Before adding the desired item(s) to your cart, be sure to check any dropdowns to choose size, hardware, scent, style option(s), etc by selecting your choice from the menu.  Hardware options are described below.

*Note regarding bows- not all hardware options are available for all products.

*If the hardware has not been chosen by the customer at checkout, we will attempt to contact you.  If we are unable to reach you, by default, your bows will ship to you on a one-size-fits-all nude nylon headband, or if two of the same size/style/colour of bows are purchased and no hardware is picked, we will ship them as pigtail clips (one right, one left) on alligator clips with silicone grip.  Please double check that you have chosen the correct hardware for your needs.  If you are purchasing Fun Dough, you will receive unscented dough as default.  

  1. How to choose between hardware options:
  • Alligator Clip with silicone grip is a simple metal alligator clip that will generally be lined with ribbon.  A special, slightly tacky silicone grip is added to the underside of the clip that will help it stay in the hair.  This clip is typically best for fine hair. 
  • Alligator Clip with teeth is a simple metal alligator clip but it has teeth on the underside of the clip.  The clip may be partially lined with ribbon.  This clip does not require a non-slip grip as the teeth on it will dig deeper into the hair securing a strong hold.  This clip is typically best for thick or curly hair.
  • One-Size-Fits-All Nude Nylon Headband is a very stretchy nylon band that accommodates all head sizes from newborn to adult.  At this time, we only offer nude as a colour option at checkout.  Some ready-to-ship items may have different headband colours.
  • Other options that are available by request and availability are:  ponytail holder, No-Hair Grip Clip (for babies), extra long alligator clips with teeth.
  1. Turnaround time/Local Pickup/Shipping questions:
  • We only ship to Canadian addresses due to insurance limitations.  Sorry.  :(

  • Orders are processed in the order in which they are received.  Our typical turnaround time is around 21 business days (not including weekends/stats) from payment, but please check the website header and your order confirmation email for the most up-to-date TAT.  Most items are made to order.  We strive to have your order ship sooner than this timeframe, however, we both have a family and children that require our attention, as well as day jobs outside the home, so this allows us some extra wiggle room.  During busy seasons such as the holidays, our turnaround time may increase.
  • Saskatoon/surrounding area customers may choose free local pickup at checkout and you have two options:
    • Porch Pickup is available in Lakeridge (SE Saskatoon).  We will not be responsible for any stolen packages once they are placed in the bin.
    • Prairie + Pine pickup is available in Lawson Heights Mall (North Saskatoon).
    • Please note that your order is not at the store or in the pickup bin until you receive the email stating that your order is complete.  Partially fulfilled orders are NOT at the store so please do not pick up until the email is received stating that your order is complete.  All pickup details are noted in the final email, including the pick-up address.
  • Shipping:  
    • Most packages are shipped by Canada Post Expedited Parcel at a rate of $15+ tax.  Please know we do what we can to keep shipping costs reasonable and we always pay a portion of shipping out of our own pockets to make it more reasonable for our customers.  This option includes tracking and $100 insurance.  Expedited packages are usually received within 1-5+ business days, depending on your location and whether Canada Post is experiencing holiday or other delays. 
      • Additional shipping insurance may be purchased if you like, please email us ASAP for a quote.
    • Oversize Lettermail is offered for $5+ tax if the order is under $15.  This option does not include tracking or insurance.  You may choose to upgrade shipping at checkout to Expedited if you prefer.  Lettermail packages are typically received within 2 to 10+ business days depending on your location and Canada Post's current capacity.  
      • Due to the fact that this method does not include tracking or insurance, we will not be held responsible nor will we replace or refund any lost packages.

  • Please confirm your shipping address is correct before paying for your order.  Once the package is dropped off at the post office, we are no longer responsible for when you will receive your package due to circumstances beyond our control.  Once a package has been marked as delivered, we will not be held responsible for any stolen or lost packages.  Please make sure to promptly pick up your order.

  • Shipping can be combined provided that the first order hasn't been processed and packaged.  Orders will be automatically combined if we notice multiple orders for the same person & address.  If there is a large shipping overage owed, you may be invoiced for additional shipping costs.
  1. Rush orders:

If you require a RUSHED order please email lpkhandmade@gmail.com BEFORE placing your order to inquire whether we can accommodate your request.  Orders are not guaranteed to be rushed until we have accepted the request, otherwise, orders are processed in the order received and within our current order turnaround time.

  1. Custom orders: 

Sorry, at this time we are unable to accept custom orders.

  1. Headband-to-clip hardware swap:

Most headbands can just be cut off and a clip may be attached instead, which will allow you to use your bows for well beyond infancy.  The cost is $1/item; this includes our time and new hardware.  It would be your responsibility to get the items to us and pay for return shipping or arrange for pickup.  Please email lpkhandmade@gmail.com to inquire about this.

  1. Trademarked & Licensed items:

Unfortunately because of legalities and the protected status regarding selling copyright/trademarked items, we are unable to offer any products that include Disney, Marvel, sports teams, logos, etc.

Because we have to protect our product, assets, family, and business, when you place and pay for an order, you agree to the following:

  • We are not responsible for delayed, lost, or stolen packages once your items have been transferred to the post office.  Please see the info under point #3 regarding shipping and the ability to add tracking/insurance and/or additional insurance to your order.
  • Hardware/finishing/scent options are selected when adding products to your cart.  Please see point #1 for more info.
  • Please note that glitter and any prints are printed at random and fabric placement may vary.  Glitter may flake minimally.  Try not to crush to preserve shape.  Please only spot clean with a damp towel or cloth and air dry.  Submerging or using harsh cleaning soap/detergent may ruin your bow.  Placing the bow in extreme temperatures may also cause issues such as warping, melting, cracking, etc.
  • Toys included in the Sensory Fun Dough Kits may not be as pictured and toys may change due to availability.  We will do our best to try to keep it as consistent as possible, and we will always make sure to keep the value at or above what is shown in product photos.
  • We make every attempt to edit our photos to show a true colour reflection of the product to the best of our ability; however, due to monitor and device colour settings, I cannot guarantee that the listing is a 100% true colour reflection of the product.  NO refund/return/exchange if the colour is not to your standards.  We do our best to reflect the true colour(s) of the products.
  • All sales are final due to the nature of the product.  However, if there is an issue with workmanship, please contact us via email to lpkhandmade@gmail.com with a description of the issue along with a photo of the item within 48 hours of delivery.   Because quantities of fabrics/products are limited, an exchange may not be possible but an agreed upon replacement of equal value will be used.  If an item is oversold (we do our best to not have this happen) we can offer a refund or replacement of an item that is mutually agreed upon.
  • CAUTION: Products may contain small parts and please keep out of reach of children and pets. Please do not leave child/pets unattended while wearing or near any hair accessory as it may pose a choking, strangulation, or suffocation hazard. Please supervise children/pets at all times while wearing and remove while sleeping, in a carseat, or any other time there may not be supervision available.  By placing an order and submitting payment for your product from Little Prairie Kids Handmade, you are agreeing to the above statement and release any and all liability and/or other legal claims toward the owners of Little Prairie Kids Handmade.
